well, that is really wat is going on in lecture.
the lecturer started a new topic. after his first explaination, he asked question to things which he has not taught.
when no one answer his question, only then he start to explain bit by bit.
i think he assume that everyone knows what he is thinking. therefore he just imagine in his mind and everyone in the class would know what he wants.
