National 'Ultimate Warrior' Championship

The national "Ultimate Warrior" championship. It will be a combat sport involving various martial art disciplines. The championship will be held in Kuala Lumpur from Sept 1 to 9.

To be proclaim as the Ultimate Warrior is like becoming the King of Kings.

I think I have a friend who might be interested to participate in the event !!

Similarities ??

GEORGE TOWN: A 56-year-old man died after repeatedly stabbing himself in the stomach five times in front of his son after an argument between both of them.

PENANG: A 56-year-old man died after repeatedly stabbing himself in the abdomen five times when his daughter demanded to know why he had given her away for adoption 25 years ago.

Two 56-year-old man died the same way in the same state in two similar incidents.

Punctuality among Malaysians.

To many people, it was alright to be late as long as you attend the event as actually they did not have the intention of being late but the were still plagued by the lackadaisical attitude of "tak apalah".

It is very common among many Malaysians, particularly the younger generation

Even now you see many among the undergraduates, walking in leisurely some 10-20 minutes late into the lecture halls, despite being aware of the fact that classes begin at 10.00 am !!

Sometimes lack of punctuality may spark a chain reaction. If you are late for one event, you may be late for the subsequent event. And if you are so used to be late in your younger years, then there are high chances that you are going to be late during your adulthood. It tends to become habitual.

Don't you agree?

Night vision goggles

A 21-year-old police constable was nabbed by GSC cinema stewards in Berjaya Times Square yesterday. He is believed to have recorded about 30 minutes of the movie on his mobile phone.

After he was detained, his friend allegedly called for help and a police sergeant arrived at the cinema. The suspect, however, was handed over to enforcement officers from the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry and later taken to the city police headquarters.

He was released on bail pending further investigations. He is also expected to be hauled up before a disciplinary committee.Stringent measures have been taken by cinemas and authorities to prevent the illegal recording of newly-released movies.

These include installing closed-circuit television cameras in all movie halls, and stewards wearing night vision goggles, similar to those used by military commandos.

After showing people to their seats, trained ushers are strapping on the goggles and scanning darkened cinemas around the country to spot anyone trying to make illegal copies of movies with hand-held video recorders or mobile phones.

Essay Competition??

I wonder how are they going to evaluate the essay???

"Kategori " ?
instead of category?

"The competition will be divided"?

Well I thought the competiton had already been divided in to two categories? Or they are still thinking to joining both of it.

"Winners will receive cash prizes and certificate" ?

Eh, so many winners, so many cash prizes to be given away, but only one certificate to be shared among them.

It was taken from Ministries Of Plantation Industries And Commodities.

System to completely disable stolen handphones

A national database for lost and stolen handphones will be set up and any handphone reported lost will be completely disabled. This means a stolen handphone cannot be sold to anyone to be used even with a new SIM card.

Last year, some 100,000 handphones were reported lost; the actual figure could be much higher than that as most Malaysians are reluctant to report the loss of items like handphones.

Similar schemes launched in Britain and Australia had proven to be successful. Statistics in Britain had shown that in the first six months following the launch of the programme in November 2002, almost 500,000 lost or stolen mobile phones were blocked.

In Australia, there was a 23% drop in mobile phone thefts within 12 weeks of the launch of the scheme.

The move will also incorporate a nationwide handset blocking service, meaning that those who lose their handphones will be able to render the devices useless upon reporting their loss to the database operators.

This includes barring the PIN Unblocking Key (PUK), which provides access to the SIM card.
With the system, consumers and handphone traders can also check if a handphone offered to them is stolen.

The service, however, will not be compulsory and it will not be free. There will be an affordable one-time registration fee.

The entire system sound so complicated, block this and that. But it sounds very cool !!

What About Size?

Few days ago Deputy minister Datuk S. Veerasingam today assured consumers that the roti canai and capati price would not be raised.

Click here for archived post of Good News For Roti Canai Lovers ...

But there are concern that it's the "price tags" remain the same but there was no guarantee that the size and quality would not be reduced.

Forget about the roti canai for a moment, noodles, breads too are made from flour as well. Would the price be increased?
Size and quality decreased?

Driver who raped stepdaughters

Ninety years’ jail and 18 strokes of the rotan!

That was what a Sessions Court here meted out on a lorry driver who raped and forced his two underage stepdaughters to perform oral sex on him.

The man, however, will only serve 30 years because most of the jail terms for the multiple charges are to run concurrently from the date of arrest on April 30.

The girls, aged 14 and 15, had lodged police reports on that day when their mother discovered that the elder one was seven months’ pregnant following a hospital check-up.

The man did not show any emotion when he heard the verdict yesterday.
He had committed the offences in his bedroom and the girls’ room at their home in Cheras sometime in the middle of 2005 to April this year.

The court was told that he had married the girls’ mother in 1997. He raped them when his wife, a security guard, went to work.

The man first raped the younger girl sometime in mid-2005, after pulling her into his bedroom and forcing her to perform oral sex on him.

He also threatened to beat her if she told her mother about it. He repeated the crimes on her in December last year.

In January last year, while the elder girl was reading a book, he rubbed her cheeks and then pulled her to his bed and raped her. Three months later, he forced her to perform oral sex on him.

On another occasion, while the girl was washing dishes in the kitchen, he asked her to have sex with him and sometime in April this year, he raped her again.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Tetralina Ahmed Fawzi pressed for a deterrent sentence, saying that it was in the public interest and that the offences were serious and described the man’s actions as “heinous, sinful and disgraceful”.

He should had been jail for 90 years !!!! Let him die in jail.

Good News For Roti Canai Lovers ...

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry is not accommodating the request for a price hike.

Deputy minister Datuk S. Veerasingam today assured consumers that the roti canai and capati price would not be raised. He said that contrary to a news report yesterday, the Malaysian Muslim Restaurant Operators Association (Presma) and the Indian Restaurant Operators Association (Prisma) had promised not to hike the price of the delicacy.

Yesterday, Presma deputy president I Kamarul Zaman Seenimohideen was quoted as saying that its members would increase the price of roti canai and capati by 10 sen starting next month and that the move was inevitable due to the price rise in other cooking materials. The price of general purpose flour was increased by 15 sen per kg in the peninsula and 10 sen per kg in Sabah and Sarawak effective last Tuesday.

Consumers who find themselves paying more than the present price, which is between 70 sen and RM1.20, for roti canai could complain to the ministry and enforcement would also be stepped up to ensure that traders do not increase prices of consumer goods at whim.

No worries friends, the price of roti canai will be increasesd, lets have a roti canai feast !!
Btw how much flour do they need to make a piece of roti canai?
I don't think they need a kg to do so right ??
Their request for the price hike is unreasonable and unacceptable.

X-rated nude car wash in Australia

A nude car wash offering an X-rated sideshow and topless cleaning in Australia's tropical Queensland state has been given the all-clear after police and officials said they were powerless to scrub it.

The Bubbles 'n' Babes car wash in Brisbane prompted a flood of complaints with a topless car wash for A$55 and a nude car wash with X-rated lap-dance service for A$100.

WOW, what an interesting car wash !!!

Happy Mother's Day

It's a dog's life for three newborn tiger triplets in eastern China. The cubs, whom officials at the Jinan Paomaling Wild Animal World in Shandong province are so far just calling "One," "Two" and "Three," have been nursed by a dog since they were rejected by their tiger mother shortly after birth.

The trio's adoptive mother, a mixed breed farm dog called "Huani," is expected to nurse them for about a month or until their appetites outpace her supply.

In the past, Paomaling put dog urine on their rejected cub's fur to make the surrogate think she was nursing one of her own puppies but the zoo didn't bother with Huani because she seemed not to mind nursing the tigers.

Life..

Why have you treated me like this?
I wake up to see, yet another trouble,
Knocking on my door,
He stands firm and strong

Life why not, gives wings to lion,
And melodies to the ocean
Why not make gains plenty as pains
And give shame a bounding chain

Oh you beast,
You bound up the innocent,
And set at liberty the criminals
You have a tongue,
But you can not speck the truth

You watch poison change for wine
And watch sorrows given for joy
Who created the devil?
Who gives him life?
What a hall, swift like rain

MU Match Is On

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) are ready to go ahead with the planned Manchester United match in Kuala Lumpur on July 27.

This is the wish of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi even if it means FAM could be facing serious consequences from the Asian and World football governing bodies.FAM deputy president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah said although FAM risked being suspended for going ahead with the match against their wish, the decision was made in the country's interest, and the wishes of the public and the Prime Minister himself.

AFC president Mohamed Hammam who had slammed the Manchester United trip to Asia as unethical as it would clash with the Asian Cup hosted by Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, had urged the FAM to cancel the match that was scheduled for July 27.

Sampan Vs Battleship

This is a sampan.

Sampans are generally used for fishing or transportation, in coastal areas or rivers. It is unusual for a sampan to sail far from land as they do not have the means to survive rough weather.

This is a battleship.

A battleship is a large, heavily-armored warship with a main battery consisting of the largest caliber of guns. It is larger, better-armed and better-armoured than cruisers and destroyers.

A battleship knocking down a sail, without using any of it's armour.
Poor sail, what is left for you?

Not only the battle is lost, but the entire war is over.

Blood Donation

My first blood donation, it happened in UCSI after I was persuaded by Kin Yan.

Chee Seng, was persuaded by me to donate blood together. He ended up skipping class because of it.

Each of us was awarded with a cup of hot milo + a chocolate muffin.

Important !!!

Donors are discouraged from heavy exercise or lifting for several hours.
Plasma volumes will return to normal in around 24 hours, while red blood cells are replaced by bone marrow into the circulatory system within about 3-5 weeks, and lost iron replaced over 6-8 weeks.

This recovery process can be accelerated by eating foods high in complex carbohydrates, iron, and other trace minerals. Due to the timeframe required for iron replacement, donors are eligible to donate whole blood approximately eight to twelve weeks after the previous donation.

Benefits.

Donating blood may reduce the risk of heart disease for men and stimulate the generation of red blood cells.

The amount of toxic chemicals (e.g. mercury, pesticides, fire retardants) circulating in the blood stream is reduced by the amount contained in given blood.

Top up girls

For a RM10 top-up for their handphones, some schoolgirls are willing to sell their bodies, Harian Metro reported.

These so-called “top up” girls, first get to know the men through the Internet chat room and then go out on dates with them.

She would ask her men friends to buy her a RM10 prepaid card for her phone before going out with them and then, later, taken to a “port” to have sex.

Usually, they take her to their rented houses. Sometimes, they just loiter around the city and watch movies.

They usually do this normally during the weekends and most of these guys are the mat motor type.

Wow !!! What is happening??

Scuba Diving

One of the thing that I would like to have my hands on, would be Scuba Diving!!!

Malaysia is without doubt one of the best learning environments you can find. Malaysia offers excellent and especially convenient diving conditions, attracting thousands of divers every year. A perfect blend of truly Asia and international atmosphere, with a touch of adventure, warm waters, a tropical climate, beautiful beaches.

A browse from PADI IDC Malaysia, looks like it is not cheap to obtain a Open Water Diver certification card.

Some beautiful photos,

Who is poluting the river?

Consumers will have to pay more for water in the future if they do not use water wisely as water treatment is getting to be an expensive business, Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik said

He was asked to comment on a newspaper report today on water consumption in Malaysia, which stated that Malaysians were using up to 500 litres of water per person daily.

"If we don't play our part to keep rivers clean, then the cost of water treatment will go up very high," he said.

But it was different from what it was reported earlier,...
What does Indah Water Konsortium do?

World's fastest walkers

Pedestrians all over the world are moving faster than a decade ago, according to scientists who have conducted a study into the pace at which people walk.

Psychologists say walking speeds have increased by an average of 10 percent in the past 10 years.

Researchers in each city found a busy street with a wide pavement that was flat, free from obstacles and sufficiently uncrowded to allow people to walk at their maximum speed.
The speed of each city's walkers was then timed by a team researchers, armed with stopwatches.

They timed how long it took 35 men and women to walk along a 60-foot (18-meter) stretch of pavement, monitoring only adults who were on their own and ignoring those conducting mobile phone conversations or struggling with shopping bags.

The results of the study, headed by British psychologist Professor Richard Wiseman, were compared with similar results from a decade ago in an experiment carried out by American psychologist Professor Robert Levine, from California State University.

Here is a list, in order, of the cities ranked by the speeds at which people walk:
1) Singapore (Singapore)
2) Copenhagen (Denmark)
3) Madrid (Spain)
4) Guangzhou (China)
5) Dublin (Ireland)
6) Curitiba (Brazil)
7) Berlin (Germany)

10) Vienna (Austria)
11) Warsaw (Poland)
12) London (United Kingdom)
13) Zagreb (Croatia)
14) Prague (Czech Republic)
15) Wellington (New Zealand)
16) Paris (France)
17) Stockholm (Sweden)

Gang-raped in carjack

Last week I posted More and more rapist in Malaysia.

Today,
JOHOR BARU: A woman who was waiting in the car while her husband went to a toilet was held up at knife-point and taken on a terror ride, gang-raped and robbed.

Here is how it happen....,

The drama unfolded when the victim and her son had accompanied her husband to town on his way to work in Singapore at 4am several days ago.

The husband stopped the car, with his wife and son inside, at the petrol station and kept the engine running.

Soon after, the woman was shocked to see a man armed with a knife, knocking at her window demanding that she open the door.

The woman, fearing for her son's safety, complied and the suspect then drove the car to pick up his friend from a nearby area.

They blindfolded the woman and threatened to harm her son if she struggled.

The woman begged the men to let them go as she was pregnant but they instead took her to a secluded area and took turns to rape her.

This are an abstract from today's newpaper. As mention in the previous post, if they were caught. They should be given harsh punishment at least 20 years of jail plus 20 strokes of rotan.

Student caught recording Spider Man 3

Cinema workers caught a 16 years old student recording the movie using his cellphone at GSC Gurney Plaza at 3pm on Tuesday.

His phone was seized and he was escorted out of the cinema. He was later handed over to the police.

It was learnt that the cinema workers were conducting routine checks on patrons via closed-circuit television (CCTV) when they spotted the student recording the movie.

The workers then requested the student to step out of the cinema and upon checking found that he had recorded the movie for more than an hour using his phone.

What a stupid thing to do. Recording movie using his cellphone? I believe that the movie recorded would not be any high quality movie. Patron's laughing voices + patron walking around the cinema would be recorded as well.

Hmmm......, may be there is a slight possibility that he was trying to impress his girlfriend by spicing things a little bit, trying his luck whether he would be caught recording in the cinema.

Cellphone ... RM 1,200
Movie ticket ... RM 12
Arrested for recording Spider Man 3 ... PRICELESS
