Punctuality among Malaysians.

To many people, it was alright to be late as long as you attend the event as actually they did not have the intention of being late but the were still plagued by the lackadaisical attitude of "tak apalah".

It is very common among many Malaysians, particularly the younger generation

Even now you see many among the undergraduates, walking in leisurely some 10-20 minutes late into the lecture halls, despite being aware of the fact that classes begin at 10.00 am !!

Sometimes lack of punctuality may spark a chain reaction. If you are late for one event, you may be late for the subsequent event. And if you are so used to be late in your younger years, then there are high chances that you are going to be late during your adulthood. It tends to become habitual.

Don't you agree?

'Malaysian time' has been somewhat accepted in society. I have yet to attend an event which starts on time.

So your concept of a chain reaction is probably correct- it is already happening!
